Buy or rent textbooks

The bookstore has all of your required textbooks available for rent or purchase. To buy or rent textbooks for the entire semester, go to the campus Bookstore in Alumni College Center, Room 112.

Use Textbooks for Limited Times Inside the Library

The library has some textbooks, available to use inside the library.

The library's collection of the most-used textbooks required for your classes is called the Reserves. You may also get lucky and find a required book in our regular collection.

You can search our catalog for your textbooks. You will need to know the title and author of your books.

Most books on Reserve are for In-Library Use, which means it cannot leave the library and can be used for 3 hours. Some Reserve items are for Overnight Use, which means it can be checked out for ONLY 1 night. The course instructor determines whether an item is for in-library or overnight use.

If the book you need is located in the stacks, then you may check the book out. Items in the stacks are due back the last day of classes each semester.

Can't afford your textbooks?

Contact the C3 Office in Wilcox Hall 141 (inside the Learning Commons), or at c3@mvcc.edu. Textbook assistance is one of the many supports they provide!
