Q. Can I check out newspapers from the library?

Print newspapers must remain in the library due to high demand. You are more than welcome to read the print newspapers in the library or make photocopies of the article(s) that you need. 

We have online versions of the Utica O-D and other popular newspapers in our databases:

• Utica Observer-Dispatch (2019-present)
• New York Times Online Edition (You will need to create an account with your MVCC email address the first time you access)
• The Newsbank database provides access to the Syracuse Post-Standard, the Albany Times-Union, and other national and world newspapers

*Remember that off-campus database access requires login with your MVCC email username and password.
