Simply skip any citation information your source does not have.

  • Citations for works with no author should start with the title instead.
  • Do not use placeholders for unknown information like n.d. (“no date”)  or n. pag. (“no pagination”) unless your instructor asks you to do so.

Note: if your source is missing an author or publication date, it is probably not a scholarly source. Ask a librarian if you need help finding a source that meets your needs!
